BRITE SCRUBBER

"Brite" usually refers to products from the Scotch-Brite brand (by 3M), which is the industry leader in cleaning tools. Depending on what you're cleaning, there are three main types of "Brite" scrubbers:

1. Scotch-Brite Green Scrub Pad

The classic rectangular green pad found in almost every household.

• Best For: Daily cleaning of stainless steel utensils, plates, and pots.

• Key Feature: Features "Stain Cutters" (abrasive particles) distributed throughout the pad, so it stays effective even as it wears down.

• Design: Often comes in an 'S' shape for a better grip to prevent finger fatigue.

2. Scotch-Brite Steel Scrubber

A coiled metallic scrubber made of high-quality stainless steel.

• Best For: Heavy-duty scrubbing of iron kadhais, tavas, and burnt-on food on unpainted metal.

• Key Feature: Rust-free and does not splinter or break easily like cheap local steel wool.

• Caution: Never use this on non-stick pans or glass, as it will cause permanent scratches.

3. Scotch-Brite Scrub Sponge (2-in-1)

A green scrub pad bonded to a yellow cellulose or foam sponge.

• Best For: Gentle cleaning. The sponge side holds soap and water for delicate items (like bone china or plastic), while the scrub side handles stains.

• Variants: Also available in a "Non-Scratch" (Pink/White) version specifically for non-stick Teflon cookware.
